District Camp 2027

The District Camp 2027 will take place at Risøya in Gjeving from 19 to 26 June 2027.

“We’re Looking Forward to District Camp 2027!” – 7 September 2026

Dear Scout friends,

We are delighted to let you know that the camp committee is now in place, and we are already looking forward to an amazing district camp next year at Risøya in Gjeving, from 19 to 26 June 2027.

Since the campsite is right by the sea, we can look forward to a week surrounded by beautiful coastal scenery, with plenty of opportunities for swimming, water activities, and perhaps even a trip out on the water.

The site is exceptionally well equipped for our needs, with piers, docks, and modern sanitary facilities, so all the ingredients are there for a fantastic camp experience.

The camp committee will be formally introduced at the District Council Meeting in October, where we will also share more information about the camp itself.

This time, we have a relatively small camp committee, so we will rely on the scout groups to help out with a few small and straightforward tasks during the week, such as staffing activity posts and similar duties. Most of you will already be familiar with this from previous camps, and we are excited to work together to create next summer’s great adventure.

For those who have not had the chance to help out before, we can promise that it is not only enjoyable but also a great way to get to know fellow Scouts from other groups. And one more thing: no toilet-cleaning duties this time! The site owners will be taking care of that for us.

So, check the expiry date on your sunscreen already and start planning your holiday on beautiful Risøya next summer. Maybe this is the perfect excuse to take a specialist course beforehand so you can feel extra prepared, such as Water Rescue? Or perhaps earn a leader badge before or during camp, such as the Inclusion or Campfire badge?

We will certainly do our very best to create unforgettable seaside and summer memories in 2027 for Scouts of all ages, and we cannot wait to see you there!
